A note about our upcoming meeting….
Dear Board Members,
Taking the Mission Into Our Fundraisers, this month reminded us that “a safe place for children and their families” extends far beyond our program nights, it’s reflected in the way we work together. When committee plans shifted, restaurant commitments fell through, and illness ran rampant, our community rose to the challenge.
From staff to volunteers to board members, many hands truly made light(er) work. Every person who showed up, stepped in, and stayed flexible helped keep our mission alive in the midst of uncertainty. Together, we turned obstacles into opportunities. Your encouragement, responsiveness, and hard work play a key role in the morale of our organization.

Team Work Makes the Dream Work.........
As you look at the calendar below, you will see how busy Program has been. September has proven to be an “all in” kind of month. Each of the HHP staff has worked so beautifully together making all the small and large details happen and bonus (!), I celebrated starting my 3rd year at HHP. I am grateful to work alongside Candice, Cakki, Becky and Mariana as we have all just stepped up and stepped in making HHP a safe place for children, families and individuals who are grieving. I know that in the process of being “all in” we are collectively helping hurting hearts, but this month I celebrate the dedication of our team to excellence, to each other, both personally and professionally, and to the mission of HHP. There is no “I” in team! .

LOWLIGHTS
On a sad note.....
The last-minute intern we got the day before Facilitator Training had to drop out of WT (and the internship) due to personal family issues.
We have slightly smaller Generations group this cycle. Four families which would have included 7 adults and 12 kids needed to drop out right before program began, due to moving, no one to watch the younger children, and double-booking activities on Tuesday evenings, and one family chose not to finish their first-step process.
KEY INITIATIVES
The main initiative for Program will be Focusing on Generations, Nights 3 and 4, finishing SOSL and Boys Ranch adult groups.
1 Finishing updates to the Elementary curriculum.
2 Securing a volunteer to come in once a week to help with tasks since there is no intern.
Your feedback is valued. Please share ideas and comments so we can address challenges effectively and strengthen outcomes.
