Help Us Heal Hearts

The Hope & Healing Place has supported grieving children in the Panhandle of Texas since 2003. It is through the generous support of individuals, families, and businesses that HHP has had an open door for grieving children and their families.

We rely on giving partners who believe in the importance of healing the heart of a child. There are no fees for our services. This is why your gift is so valued and important to us.

Memorial Gifts:

Honoring family and friends through a charitable gift to the Hope &Healing Place is a gift whose value continues the healing of many hearts of children. Let HHP recognize your loved ones by recording your gift in their name in our Memory Book.

Honorary Gifts:

You can become a partner with the Hope & Healing Place to make the world better for today's child and for the children and families that are the future recipients of HHP services. Your gift today will mean the healing services of HHP will be available to the family with a future loss of a loved one.

Investing Your Investments:

HHP is professionally prepared to receive proceeds or assigned of stock, land, oil and gas leases, and other valued holdings. Contact the Development Office of HHP for additional information regarding the HHP Acceptance Policy pertaining to such gifts.

Make Your Will Live A Lifetime:

A real way to ensure HHP will be there for the future is to include HHP in your Will. Distribution from your Will can be directed to the HHP foundation or to the general operation of the center.

Use Your IRA In New Ways:

On August 17, 2006, President Bush signed into law new tax incentives for charitable gifts from donors who are 70 1/2 or older. The Pension Protection Act of 2006 encourages financial support of charitable organizations and their services.

We want you to know how your gift to HPP makes a difference in the life of a child and family:

  • Ensure the grief and loss services through age appropriate peer support groups to the child and family who has lost a sibling, parent, or grandparent will continue interrupted;
  • When the child opens the door to HHP there will be a safe, creative, and nurturing environment for the child and family to learn, understand, and talk together as a family about their loss;
  • Encourages community volunteers to commit to HHP children and families by ongoing recruitment, skills training, and ongoing education;
  • Purchases the art, play, and education supplies to assist the child in their grief work;
  • Join with HHP as advocate for a better understanding of grieving children and families in our community as the better way of addressing loss within a family.

The Hope & Healing Place is a 501c3 charitable organization, supervised by a volunteer board of directors, and meets all IRS and State of Texas requirements to continue to serve the Panhandle as a non-profit corporation.
